Week 3 Waiver Targets
Here are three players you should look to add to help boost your playoff chances as the season progresses.
Now that we’re two weeks into the NFL season, it’s likely that your fantasy team is starting to take shape one way or another. We’re officially past the fluky week 1 zone, so it’s officially time to determine if the guys you invested in during your draft or in preseason trades were really worth it. For most teams, it’s too early to hit the full on panic button. But regardless, for every team, it’s worth taking a peek at the waiver wire to see which players can possibly be viewed as upgrades on your current roster. Here are three guys to target ahead of week 3.

Troy Franklin
It’s likely that Franklin will be the most sought after player on the waiver wire this week, and for good reason. The second year WR out of Oregon comfortably led the Broncos in receptions (8), yards (89), and targets (9). In fact, if you were to take the second highest pass catcher on the Broncos in each of those categories and double each number, respectively, Franklin would still have led the team in all three categories. While it would be unreasonable to expect this type of target share domination each week moving forward, it’s clear that the Broncos made an intentional effort to involve Franklin more in the offense, and he certainly did not disappoint.
Zach Ertz
Old man Ertz just can’t stop being ole reliable. For the second week in a row, Ertz found the end zone. This time adding 6 receptions for 64 yards on a staggering 90% snap share. Not only does he serve as a valuable waiver wire pickup for depth purposes, but if you drafted struggling tight ends like Evan Engram, David Njoku, or Colston Loveland as your starter, Ertz might just be the guy you need to get slotted into your starting lineup.
Elic Ayomanor
Ayomanor received preseason buzz as he had a very strong training camp with Tennessee. Yet it remained to be seen if the preseason hype would actually result in legitimate production. Through two weeks, the hype appears to be warranted. Although not producing much in week 1, Ayomanor still played 79% of snaps and was targeted 7 times. In week 2, he turned a 73% snap share and 6 targets into a 4-56-1 receiving line. He is the clear WR2 in this Titans’ offense behind Calvin Ridley and should continue to grow alongside fellow rookie Cam Ward.
